Cooling fan wont turn off!

My cooling fan has started staying on all the time, even when the ignition is switched on from cold. Any ideas where the fault lies?

I've tried disconnecting the sensor in the radiator but the fan still remains on, which seems to be the reverse of what should happen! I don't know what's happening unless there's a short circuit somewhere?

It's a standard 1.6 GTE

perhaps there is a shorted circuit. Try removing the fuse & investigate. Maybe bare wires somewhere.

Maybe the switch in the rad.

is there a sensor in the head? did you disconnect this?

The sensor in the head is not related to the cooling fan.
