the rs500 one is a bosch 044 as far as im aware, (what i really should be running on mine) Which should be good for up to 500bhp. Im using an internal walbro 255 one on mine but im having some fueling issues with regards to it all. Make sure you fuel lines are up to the job, as mine were not lol

Unless its rally prepped I'd run fuel lines outside due to smell & safety issues.

A Bosch motorsport pump (like 044 or 909) should do the job or look at Walbro pumps which can be sourced pretty cheap from the states.

Have you got a Swirl pot setup to prevent fuel surge?

oh and what if BOTH pumps fail? I think you should fit 4 for luck.

Just use one DECENT flow pump.
And it will be fine.

youre worried about a pump failing so willing to fit two. BUT youre happy to let it starve of fuel and run lean in the bends.... me thinks your prioroties are a tad mixed up

yep thats right, however in my case the one decent pump set up was going to cost me three times the cost of having two fuel tanks and two not so good flow pumps.

If you run the fuel lines inside the car make sure you use PTFE lined fuel lines and not rubber ones. The smell of fuel comes through the rubber lines.

cheers dar what bits would i need to run them inside like your car

You need 4 bulkhead fittings (JIC-6). Then get some lines made up for the inside with JIC-6 ends on. These lines should be PTFE lined. Then you needtwo JIC-6 to 8mm(I think) hose for the outside at the back to connect up to the tank return and the pump flow. Then its up to you how you do the fittings in the engine bay. Thats if you put the swirlpot in the engine bay.

Its quite simple really. Just draw out where you want everything to go and then you will see what you need.

To run a swirl pot you will need two fuel pumps and two fuel filters. Although I'm sure you can get away with using the one fuel filter. Apparently having the swirlpot nice and high is a good thing and aids flow back in to the tank.

I got all my pipes and fittings from Avon Hydrolics. Find your local Hydrolics place and go and ask them if they have JIC-6 fittings etc. I had to go to a few places before I found one that did the fittings I wanted but they all tend to know each other and if the first place you go to doesn't have the bits they will be able to point you in the right direction.
