Due to the size (i.e quite small) and the way the inlet/outlet pipes are mounted (i.e facing backwards) they are quite difficult to mount anywhere that will do any good.

You could bodge it in above the gearbox type area, however the air here will have already come through the radiator and be quite warm, plus its right next to the turbo housing which will also increase charge temps.

Best bet is to get an aftermarket one and place it infront of the radiator in full view of the cooler air. Also best to move the radiator to a cental position so the inlet pipe an fit one side and the outlet the other side.

Mine is an extreme example but it gives you an idea!

the standard one is pants, you may as well put the boost pipe straight off the turbo into the intake. Best cheapest option is the frontera one.

If yopur running standard boost, and your doing it on a budget or cant wait for a new IC, then place it behind the rad where the fan usually goes.

NB, it wont fit here with a F28

Might aswell cut a hole in the bonnet & mount it as a Top mount IC. That'll be the most efficient use of the standard (plastic end tanked) cooler.

Cheapest / Easiest option is probly a 2.8 diesel Frontera Intercooler, pick them up for about ?80.
Centralise your rad and it fits perfectly with inlet / outlet fitting either side of the rad, you'll have to chop your bumper abit and possibly trim the front panel.

Try on ebay in the US - stuff from USA is silly cheap with the exchange rate , eg :-

Ebay link (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Mazda-RX7-FD3S-Twin-Turbo-SMIC-Bolt-On-Intercooler_W0QQitemZ230146294956QQihZ013QQcategor yZ33742QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)

This is an all alloy unit for ?70 plus P&P!!!

And here's one for ?50 !!!

Ebay link 2 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/UNIVERSAL-TURBO-FRONT-MOUNT-INTERCOOLER-24X12X3_W0QQitemZ230146969045QQihZ013QQcategoryZ33 742QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)

Loads of bargains - just make sure its the right length, width and the inlet / outlets are the right diameter.

I am running 51mm pipework, standard is more like 44mm and the higher output engines run 60mm or bigger.
