Head is a straight swap, only problem is the ports on the manifold are squared and the head has round ports, two ways around this, either use a die grinder on the head to open up the ports or find a mk2 astra 1.3 manifold thats a closer fit and better flowed,a 32/34 dtml webber carb would be a vast improvement aswell with this set up.
Best get the head pressure tested before you fit it as the car it came off had gone through a few head gaskets but the head was never skimmed so i'm told.
Anything you're not sure of ring or txt me,most of the things you're thinking of doing i've probably thought about and looked into them!

haha nice oe mate.

well im not sure weather to fit this..

or go down the route of a 1.6 16v sport engine

or a 1.6 8v nova gsi engine

which would be best for weight/power ratio also how hard would the conversion be?

sorry im a novice with vauxhalls.anything to do with 106 rallyes/xsi's ask me ;) lol
