got me motor runnin finally, but there is loads of white smoke commin out the exaust. does this mean the head gasket is away? it hasnt been runnin for a few months, is this the reason or is there anything else it could be. cheers lads for all ur help.

mine smokes like a bitch too. It can't be the head gasket, as I have just replaced it. Its had a reconditioned bottom end and a fully rebuilt head as well so I can't understand it. my cars smokes white, grey and black smoke and it has just had an oil change ???

davie, is it defo smoke? or like the stuf u get on cold mornings? id run it for a bit b4 u make any decisions. but if head gasket is going u get more moisture coming out of the exhaust!!

its probably condensation that builds up inside the engine, if its not been run for a while take it out for a long dirve and see if its improved. Also it is very cold at the moment so you will get sum condesation at all times form the exhaust its just looks like steam and is normal.

the prob was too much oil, just goes to show u dont overlook the simple things!!! cheers guys.
