Yeh, best set up you can use with that combo is 1200 carb'd head, 1400block, 1400 SR camshaft, 1400SR carb on 1200 manifold

right so is the 1.2 and 1.3 cam DEFINETLY the same?

i will be running a 1400 block, 1300 head, 1200/1300 cam and twin 40's..

i want a highlift cam for it but nobody seems to have any for sale at the moment cheap??

the 1.4 SR is the best cam you can use as standard if you have it, otherwise theres feck all difference between 1200/1300..

No. 1.2 cam has least lift of all the 8v cams.

so would a 1400 block, 1300 head, 1400 cam and twin 40's be a good combo?

cheers,
Greg

The compression ratio will be rather high with the 1.2 head I think. Definately will need to run it on Super unleaded at all times.....

Well it will work yeah. Gains from 40s wont be much with a std cam fitted.
1200 cam is different profile, but fitment is the same.

the 1600 cam should have the Dizzy Drive you need, BUT might not have the fuel pump lode so you would need an aftermarket fuel pumps (like a facet + regulator)

A 1.4 or 1.6 cam wont fit a 1.3 dizzy.

I tried to run a GTE (E16SE) cam on mine 1.4 spi but it idled at 4K rpm. I`m not sure if the cam was the problem though.
