on an sri what kind of gains would i get from a kent ast2 cam? what other engine that cam work on? cheers!

No one will be able give you an answer, as afaik no ones tried it.

I fitted a ast2 on my old 1400 spi engine, and it wouldn't run, at all lol
It would just fire/pop when cranking, put the std cam back in and it was fine.

The only way to find out is to fit the cam and see.....

It works very well with bike carbs.

If i remember correctly B8GHY used to run a BP285(which is same as ast2) on his SRi and he sed it made it rev harder and turned it into a little bit of a beast!

As for power, its unknown. The SRi engine is 82bhp standard 15 years ago, so the cam and a service may well bring it back up to 80-85bhp ish.
