View Full Version : coilover help?
got my coilovers today from gaz put my back ones on and they hit the inner wing whats the best way to do this i was gonna bash it in are these double skinned and and has anyone got any pics of theres to git an idea as for the fronts do i need my my top mounts off my old struts and do they need machining to fit ?
I didnt actually do much to mine, but i doubt a few beats of a hammer would do any harm to reshape the few mm you require. Unsure if they will be any help but here's a few pics of when I fitted mine.....

cheers fella my wheels touch the spring i currently runing 16 comps i think there 6 an half or seven inch wide will measure tomoz going for 15 any way thanks for the pics
I ran 7J wheels and it was very close inside and out (coilover & arch). Its fine with 6.5J wheels and some little spacers.
cheers dar i think they are 2 an half in springs what about the front do i use both cups on the fronts sorry to sound funny but am eager to get them on whats these adjustable top mounts i keep hearing about
Front springs are 2 1/4" and rears are 1.9".
I ended up buying some Eccentirc topmounts for my Gaz coilovers because i couldn't seem to get the std topmounts to fit that well, not saying its not possible but i f**ked on for a while with mine, plus the eccentric mounts were nice and shiney !! :D
do these need machining the eccentric ones and where did you get them have you got any pics
Got them off Ebay (seller = Compbrake, i think) yes they need machining for you to be able to get full adjustment on them. (might be different on other Topmounts?)

The bit of the topmount that stick up in the middle needed machined down by 7mm (off diameter) to clear the hole in the strut top.
