strange noise????

There seems to be strange noise coming from behind my dash. It sounds like a small animal whining or a bird or something (its obviously not as i have found no droppings). seriously though its pissing me off, has anyone else had this problem , is it common etc?

fan bearings?
or maybe ur speedo wire?
is your speedo working correctly? and does it go away when u trun ur fan off.

do you have a digidash ?

if you do it could be the plastic of the dash scraping against somehing. because the astra dash is bigger than the nova dash it fits very snug into the dashboard. Mine squeaks alot when im driving along.

The speedo is acting up a bit and I have just found that when I put the blowers on full it kinda goes. The dash aint digi so I think it may be the fan bearings then ...would these make this kind of noise if fucked?

yes they would...
mine does it when on low...but on full it screams a little then is silent.

Think the same animal is burrowed in my dash as well. Is your a turbo diesel by any chance? I have a whining coming from behind the glovebox, think it is the soemthing to do with the glowplug relays or something, not sure. I have a ticking noise as well. Recently I have replaced speedo cable and ignition switch. I still have a problem with stereo as well as it blew up again on saturday!!! FUUUUCCCCKKKKKKKKK!!!

get a pro to look at your wiring HOGGE TD as it sounds like the Imobliser or way head unit is set up!
A alarm pro would be an idea!
