That's what I get out of my 1.2 carb, which generally takes a good hammering.

I get 75 miles to a ?10 (@97.9p per litre) in my 1.2 carb, thats a mix of delivery driving and some normal runs (over 10 miles). Mine is pinking a bit as the ignition is advanced a few degrees since one of the springs in the ignition advance in the distributor broke and the basic mixture was upped a little from what was required on the MOT.

Interested in more experiences of std XE mpg - seen as I bought the saloon to be a bit of an eco-box lol

As long as it goes over the 25-26mpg of the Celica (approx 60 miles per ?10 of SUL) I'll be happy :D

Hmm I get around 300 miles from 30 squids in my C12NZ. (oh the joys of 45BHP)

Most of that is crappy town driving stop start **** **** foot to the floor to make the lights, slow down to 30 for speed camera etc etc

So if petrol is 97p a litre.

30/.97 = 30.93 litres. Divide that by 4.5 (roughly no of litres in a gallon) fives me 6.9 gallons.

300/6.9 = 43.5MPG

Not bad I think :D
