i love how you have the bonnet bulge from a clio on your saloon also.

its a shame they never came with the flared arches

Hatch arches don't suit the saloon at all IMO.

That one looks spot on though, pretty much how I want mine to look eventually.

the bonnet is phil lofthouses old one of his yellow valver, its a real metal bulge weldeg to the nova bonnet.

still use it every now and again but work have blocked the pvg site so carnt get on very often now, good to hear you have passed mate. your welcome to come over mate will have to be next month now though mate as im off on holiday a week on monday so the saloon is hiding out at my mrs parent as of saturday morning. the gte isnt getting anywere fast to be honest, im too busy at work, but after my holiday im going on a blitz to try and get it ready for combe in september just need a couple of parts now (exhaust, brakes, and some carpets) and it will all start to come together.

THATS THE SALOON!!!!!
Thats the one I saw a fair few months ago on my way home from work....the 'what saloon was that' saga is finally over :-)
looks awesome.
Look out for me in a Europa Blue astra coupe turbo coming through doncaster every day. My car lives near tesco by day

The one near frenchgate, its actually in a locked carpark at the Fastline depot so unlikely you will see it.
I saw it on the M18 but can't remember what car I was in.
Do you know anyone with a mint white GSi on speedlines in donny, I usually see it heading into town as I'm leaving

nope dont know that nova, i live at moorends which is probably why you saw me on the m18, usuall use it every day to go to work but its failed the mot on emisions so needs a trip to boggy for a set up

i am tempted too put the turbo in it but there was a saloon a simalar colour to mine with hatch arches in tv a few years ago and people still think mine is that when i go to show, so thats why im sticking with the valver.

the saloon has been lowered 90mm, cossvaux got the spring specialy made at a place in sheffield for me, then i have kyb uprater dampers on it, also have a gsi rear anti-role bar and have removed the front one.

^^^^ who gives a fcuk about that???

doesnt matter if there was 'once a blue saloon with turbo power in tv'!

at the end of the day, the average 'mug' on the street isnt gonna have a clue whats under the bonnet of it.

plus, how many turbo novas are out there?
ppl see a nova hatch nowadays and the least they expect is 2.0xe under the bonnet...... another turbo hatch isnt gonna suprise anyone really

very true i suppose

will see i keep toying with the idea we will see what happens when i get back off my hols go a week on monday.

does make sens realy to put turbo in the saloon, but just keep thinking about a light weight drag weapon with the hatch as with the leather interior and everything in the saloon its getting a bit of a lard ass lol

dave.gsi
22-06-07, 10:18 PM
^^ so it needs a big motor to pull all that weight along!

dave im starting to get tempted now, we will see what happens which ever way i go though i want the turbo running for combe in september.

the splitter was an idea i nicked of a mate, he had a gsi about 5 years ago and put one on it. ive got one for the gte too
