winow switches

i have fitted electric windows to my nova and cant get them to work. i think the switches may be broken as the car they came from was sitting outside with no windscreen for a while, one of the lights comes on on one switch but still does nothing. does anyone know if there are any universal switches i can buy and where from or how i can fix this problem?

lol i had a similiar problem with mine, jus didnt work then all of a sudden they work now but upside down, the downwards closes the window :S confusing but fun :D

thats how the switches work in novas anyway , backwards lol

sound like the main prob is a earth probleam , did you fit the earth near the handbrake cable and have you got both red and black plugs in the fuse box , some novas dont have the black wire behined the box

if it is the switches i have some spare one i will sell

yeh i did put the earth on but not sure it secure. i didnt hide the wires i jus trial fitted them to see if they work. the car i took them from had a full closure alarm not sure if this means the wiring is different.

only one of the switches is lighting up aswell.

what size fuse do i put in the fusebox?
