Transducer 3 grey wires, where do they go?

Pretty much as title says, i installed my digi dash but cant get the speedo working, i have the correct transducer but where do the 3 grey wires from the back of it go?

earth, switch live, other to the same colour on back of digi dash

Someone else told me the same colour on the back of the dash but there is no grey! On the wiring diagram it says one of them goes to a colour on the back of the dash, but thanks for the other 2 ill try that later, but what do you mean by switch? What about ignition live?

yea should be just colour for colour, there will be a match for it on one of the plugs


switch live, is basically a black live, on the back off the dash

Right, i tried what you said, earth, switch and to the back of the dash, still not working, i think this could be becuase all of the wires on the transducer are grey so i have no real indication of whats what. Are all transducers like this?

Nope, they have a one way fit plug on originally.

If you wired it up wrong in the first place(+/- the wrong way round), you may have blown it.

Sounds like it, i never wired it up full stop tho Lol only the time that you told me to, but nothings coming up on the tripmeter either so sounds like its f*cked:mad:

Also whats with the switch on the top of the dash, is that for 8v/16v?

Does the speed not register at all?

Check you have ign 12v, and a earth with a multi meter.

Nope no speed signal at all, i connected it straight to the battery for trial so i must have power going to it, its covered in that crap like when batterys leak in your remote so i think it could be nackered

If the wires are all fine, and the trasducer has earth, live
And it dont work.

Ive been told it was fine when it was removed from the previous car.
