Manifold to system join?

Does it need a gasket? The join that's blowing is the oval one, where I've used the bolts with springs from the original system:

Yeap, a ring compression gasket.
Just go your local kwik fit and get one, my local one gave me one for nowt.

i use silicon, works a treat as it allows a bit of flex

All sorted mate :D Got that little silver gasket and it no longer leaks, can't complain for ?1.50
