Thinking of getting a pair of some sparco/omp harnesses. (4 point-bolt ons)

but ive herd that you gotta lay it out in a certain way..?

as i want to keep my back seats aswell, without it causing any probs with passengers etc..

so..anyone know of anything to do with this would be appreciated?

Its for a 1989 vauxhall nova by the way.

many thanks, Joe :thumb:

Most people use the two rear seatbelt points to mount 4 points, rendering the rear seats useless. TBH I can't see how you can possibly keep the rear seats with 4 points.

apparently in a really bad crash having the harness located like that can cripple you, From what ive read they need to be level Ie on a brace with your back on higher up usually the top mounting place for the seatbelt.

A mate told me as i have mine in the lower OEM seat belt location, But i cant be ****d to weld a bar into the xsara.

trust me they dont have to be on a strut as wen i used to banger race we mounted them behind the seats. i've had plenty of head ons and i'm fine...

i think its ok to have them mounted the way iain has but you not supposed have them straight down form the rear of a seat at a right angle

If you are going to put harnesses in then do it right but you will loose accses to the rear seats.
its one or other.
sorry but thats the way it is. you can not play with safety.

i cant see it mattering that much tbh

if you have a big off in a nova its going to hurt either way whether your belts are fixed to a bar or the rear seat belt points.

and who says you cant play with safety?! you should try it, its funlol
