Nova 1.2 into a 1.3sr

I have been offrerd a 1.3 SR engine for ?50 i need to know whether it will fit in my 1.2 merit?

you can get a 2 litre in there with a little effort so a 1.3 is a piece of cake innit really.
same size engine block, same mounts and everything.

Same engine basically......different bore and stroke to make the capacity larger, slightly different head and cam and that's about it really.

I did the swap with the aid of my Dad one Saturday afternoon....dead easy swap.

Another question i have is a bloke offered to lower my car 40mm for ?20 if i buy the springs, is it me or does it sound a bit dodgy?

why bother, it's p1ss easy to lower a Nova.
I did it in the pouring rain on a gravel driveway in less than 2 hours!
