Alternators?

Alright lads,

Had a funny whining noise coming from under the bonnet last night, turns out that the alternator bearing has gone! Does this mean getting a new alternator? If so where should I get one, and how much will I be looking at? Also will other models fit cos I may as well uprate it if i need to change it?

any off a nova/astra with the same pulley wheel will fit no probs. you can get the later type that put out a few more AMP's but not really neccesary unless your running a big ICE setup.
