if you want to blow up the box after wasteing all that time. Why not put a f16 on, but f20 if obviously gunna be better as that have a tollerance rating of around 180n/m of torque.

as said f20's are stronger.but an f16 will give you better acceleration

Like Stuart said DONT BOTHER.
Waste of time.
Waste of effort
Waste of money (when you will be fitting a big block box after a day or so)

i dnt want the hassle of altering gearlikages driveshafts spacin the box cant see how it wnt handle the power ive had a 120bhp 1.6 an it handled that fine

Torque breaks shafts/boxes.

A diesel flywheel im told you can use.
1.6 one is of no use to you.

There's a convenient backspace key for typing mistakes, this isn't a fcuking typewriter. Also no way can you miss letters from "going to" to get "gna". In conclusion, you're an illiterate moron.

Clarky_man
18-06-07, 04:48 PM
whos illiterate? um this isnt a what? typewriter check your spelling before you criticise

Clarky_man
18-06-07, 04:50 PM
so you actually spent the time to go back an check posts and probably went through every word i typed to come up with that. you must have a really exiting life

Calm down. Just because I'm more intelligent than you doesn't mean you need to get upset. I was merely pointing out where you are going wrong so you're not banned, and this is the thanks I get!

narrator speaks. (said with a deep voice lol)

So in conclusion he decided not to fit the f13 box, ignored our advice and went a brought a whole lot of weed. Then smoked that instead. An hour or so later he put his Burberry cap on and went to hang out at the shops...

well even if you do use the f13 box you will still haveto use a back mount spacer

Stuart

i had a f13 on my 20seh which was fine, cant remember what flywheel and clutch i used although iv still got it at work. the engine gave up before the box so i fitted a redtop which was using a f15 (smallblock) box as i didnt have much money.
the f15 lasted about 2 month which i was pleased with as after that time i could afford to get a f20

was that aimed at me?
i didnt mean the boxes are expensive but to fit a f20 you need to alter linkage, mount and change shafts which is the expensive bit or time consuming looking for 22spline shafts
cheers

F20s arent exactly 10 a penny though. My mate couldnt find a spare down here.

you still have to change the mount, as its the one on the engine itself that gets change..

you will still need a spacer on the box no mater which box you choose

the linkage is easy, just flip the white plastic bit on it around, and thats sorted

then just just shafts and cv's

i never used a spacer when fitting the f13 to the 8v or the f15 to the xe
shafts and cv's arent too easy to get hold of either and i needed to get it running so i could get to work

shafts arn't easy to get hold off?

i got a pair for free, so they cant be that hard to get hold of

Hi everybody,

I know a lot of nova with 20xe and F13CR box and I never seen one break the gearbox.
This is a reliable and very performant configuration for acceleration!! I have a nova 20xe with F20 3.55 final ratio. Nova 20xe with F13CR (with same engine conf) are faster than mine!!

I have a friend who has a tigra with a C25XE, flat flyweel of 20xe and F15CR gearbox => 10.000km of road run and no problem for instant.

To mount a F13 on a big block you have to bore and tap the big block flywheel ( flat type only ) in order to screw the full F13 clutch kit on it (with possibly need of spacer on the clutch bolt, depends of the flywheel). So you can bolt the F13 on the big block.
Use only Valeo clutch kit to be sure its work.
