as anyone fitted any of these gauges in there nova? if so any pics please

This will help you out with the oil sensors ...

Maybe fit the water temp sensor next to the std one in the thermostat housing, just drill & tap it.
Theres usually only 3 wires on the guages, earth, switched live & a wire to go to the sensor.

Not to difficult tbh.

where have you relocated the heater controls too?

i was looking at re-locating the heater controls, not really sure where to tho - i might try and put them in the glovebox

My 3 dials are where the heater controls were, just got the blowers on a switch just on / off on medium setting, leave the direction on the widscreen all the time & have the heater control cable going into the glovebox.

ah ha! i was going to do the above, but couldnt work out where to put stuff! Ive seen loads of Saph cossies with the 6 dial setup in the dash, and though "i could do that" lol

I've just installed some gauges into the heater control slots:

I've removed the heater all together, so no need to worry about the controls, although I do need to purchase a heated screen.

Since all Novas use the same loom (redundant wires are tapped up) and since I have just a warning light for the oil pressure, I was able to unravel the exact wire for the oil pressure, so simply plugged that into the gauge and it worked.

I spliced into the water temp wire. I was going to run the wire straight to the new gauge, but I didn't like the idea of glancing down to see the water temp on the dash not reading at all.

The volt meter was connected using one of the exsiting wires to the now redundant heater controls. In fact, it worked out really nicely, as the gauges use the brown and black wires from the heater controls to light them up :)

They are VDO gauges. I purchased them from this company:

Excellent service and price, can't recommend them enough.

They are 52mm diameter gauges, but after removing the heater controls you will need to cut away a small piece of metal (where the heater controls would be screwed to). It's best to drill through the metal at 0.5cm intervals and then get a hacksaw blade to cut through the metal. I found it best to cut through half of the metal, then twist the rest off with a pair of pliers. Obviously you'll have to file down the rough bits. You'll also have to open up the holes a couple of mm to get the gauges to sit in nicely. It takes a bit of filing and trial fitting, so take your time! I used a dremel with a different types of heads.
