not wanting to change my engine again really so wanting to know the best way to get a little bit more power, ive allready got a 4 branch manifold, but im thinking of putting the head off my old 1.2 engine on it! will the exhaust manifold off my 1.4 head fit on the 1.2 head and what intake and carb should i use?

the other option is to fit a 1.6 gsi engine! i know i have to swop the loom and ecu etc, is this hard to do? will all the engine bay wiring need changing? cheers

Fit a 1300 head if your keeping the standard carb.
You'll need a 1300 inlet too.

1200 head pushes CR up quite a bit.

well if i went for the 1300 head option i would be putting a webber 32/34 on anyway! but just wondering about the exhaust aswell!

think ill go for the 1300 head and inlet, dnt like the sound of high compression with the 1.2 head, the way i drive it will last 5 mins! anybody got a 1300 head with inlet and carb?

The original exhaust will fit.
All OHC 8v heads have the same exhaust ports.

I put a 1200 head on my 1400, wasn't standard though, CR was about 11:1 IIRC

I didn't have any problems but the 1300 head would be a little lower CR
