finally got my 2ltr red top running but it feels like its restricted all the time.

its hard to start, when i put my foot down and it gets into the high revs it coughs and bangs really loud.

p.s the timing is fine.

if anyone has any idea of what it might be id be thankfull.

Crank sensor (bitch to start) would be my 1st port of call.

Check plug gap & as a matter of course, run a extra battery Earth from the -ve terminal to the alternator adjuster arm.

The fuel pump is triggered off the crank sensor which is why I expect.

Do the Earth wire though. Trust me ;)
