xe exhuasts

just wondering bout the exhausts on xe novas, will it be possible 2 weld my ashley competition system off my 1.4sr onto a xe manifold or does the whole thing need 2 be custom welded, also is there a certain bore size that is needed in the pipes, cheers

2" is standard 2.0 16v size, 2" is what all Ashley systems are to a Nova iirc.

The system cant be welded straight to the downpipe itself, there has to be a flexible joint somewhere, or a flange with springs fitted.

You can get one from a exhaust place.

Or, cut the flange off the system, and re-weld it so it meets the Xe downpipe flange. Then bolt them.

They make a 2 1/4" system for a Nova too.

o ryte cheers 4 the help, isit worth gettin a ashley manifold made 4 a xe nova a 4 - 2 - 1 just read it on the website they got a special 1 for the nova then connect that to my system or is there much diffrence between a standard manifold and ashley 1 on xe's? sorry bout all the questions m8 lol

if your rich, just buy an ashley 4branch for the xe conversion in a nova, and use an ashley system with it :thumb:
