Yellow Nova With Renault Wheels..

I was wondering how easy them wheels were to fit to the Nova as there mint

They will be 4x100 PCD so will fit on, but with a low ET number (offset) they will rub like a motherf*cker unless arch work is carried out.

Ah well it was just an idea -- Always liked them wheels..But wasn't sure about the work needed

The offset isnt miles out (there are worse) but IIRC the centre bore is too big for a Vauxhall hub, so in order to fit safely you need a spigot ring.

If an engineer could mill a few mm safely off the rear mounting face of the rims, the offset would be better.

Plenty of Novas have had Clio & R 19 wheels on in the past.

Ive always thought the Clio 16v Turbine wheels would look good on a nova

the wheels in question come off renault megane cabriolets and are not as bad a offset as you would think are about a 42 mm offset not as bad as vw offset (38) but not as good as the proper vauxhall offset (49) i ran a set of 16" alloys off a renault modus and the fit quite well never rubbed once and thats with 60mm drop

i would say if you like the look of the wheels go for a set as they are a strong wheel as nearly all renault wheels are made by ronal

Like most Vaux wheels.
Many Renault wheels are speedline too.

Yeah I was looking at a set on eBay -- I'll wait till theres a set closer to home

And I've got plenty of time to muck about making them fit..

i rememeber that nova your talking about in a magazine(i probably still have it somewhere)

they were renault 19 16v phase 2 rims

and they did indeed look fine........

i think the guy had got them machined slightly ,if i remneber right from the article
