date of the gsi going into the bodyshop is the 18th june so thought it was about time i started a progress thread.

here it is from the beginning:


well after selling my jamaican yellow sr last year due to needing something reliable to get me to college, thats no longer the case anymore so could get another nova.

this was the sr, which was 99% restored. hope to get the gsi to an even better standard than this!!

seen a gsi on ebay that looked tidy so went to view it, not as clean as i was expectin but has potential so i made him an offer and he took it.

plans:

strip the inside
fit a cage and two bucket seats
send to the bodyshop to have the problem areas sorted and also the inside sprayed up.
XE when funds allow

in-car fuel cell
undecided on alloys



first job was to strip out all the interior

I guess it used to be silver looking at the insides? My black GSi was black underneath and not silver? Or is it just the photos?

Thought it was lightly painted in the body colour underneath yeah, guess it's a respray job?

Looks good though!

lol no it was silver, respray was "amatuer" to say the least.so its having a full inside/outside respray so will be one colour eventually.

theres finallly been some progress at the bodyshop. my origional plan of having the inside sprayed aswell will have to wait due to he's sold the business, retireing abroad and has to be out of his workshop by end of next week :(

also purchased some new alloys, 16" mistrals

and bought some cobra imola s bucket seats to replace the monacos (now for sale)
