My mate is looking to buy a Cav GSi which has a pourous Coscast head.

Whats the best option?

Get a new head (will only a Coscast one fit?)

Or repair old head?

Cheers lads/lasses:thumb:

Yer coscast heads dont go porous thats the whole beauty of them,id check to see it is actually a coscast as i very much doubt it is

Oh and if you were to change the head either type will fit the bottom end

for a start the XE heads DO NOT GO POROUS!!!!!! they merely crak an oilway.

search on mig for a DIY repair guide by scooby/scobbler or similar

Coscast heads also go 'porous' ;)

Just not nearly as common, get it repaired, about ?150 from V-Tuning and they can do it in situ!
