speaking to a company about rear coilovers and they need to know what the open length needs to be?
can anyone help? would be with turreted rear mounts.
Std are 19. I've had 15 and 17 inch fitted to the back of a Nova. If you go for 1.9 diameter springs modifications are minimal if at all.
Mine are 15" open length (bought off Garyc !) i'm running 15's and on the highest setting the arch sits about 1.5" above the rim. If i was gonna buy some again then i'd probly go for some 17" ones.

cheers guys
the gaz ones they've suggested are 17.5" so that sounds fine,
price so far is ?120 for the two without springs, just waiting for him to get back with the price of springs. does that seem a fair price so far?

TBH i would go straight to Gaz. They are miles better quality than Avo.
What poundage springs are you going for ? i origionally had 150lb on but found them a bit to soft, got 200lb springs on now which i find much better.

GAZ do seem to have made them selves a great reputation in the short time they have been around.
I'm getting them for the front of mine.
have you got any pictures of your back coilovers?

Rich I have those on my nova but when the car is jacked up completely in the air the shock hits the inner arch and tyre but when it is on the floor it is fine. Does this happen to you too?
My inner arches got a good beating so theres a good 5 -7mm clearance between the arch and spring, not sure on the tires, i know there close but not sure if they catch.
As long they don't catch when driving then i wouldn't worry to much.
Rich
ok thanks very much for the help chris
