right iv got a leak from the bottom area of my engine, iv replaced the sump gasket with a genuine vauxhall item and it hasnt cured it, it looks like it was coming from the sump and driping down the side of the gearbox, but now im just stuck on where its coming from, is there over comon gaskets that often go as im tryin to sell it and get it mot and its started doin this, thanks

pics might help.

Could be coming from a number of places, headgasket, dizzy O ring seal, rocker cover etc.

it wont let me post pics.ill try upload one through bebo and put a link in, no its not coming from the dizzy, its down the bottom, around the sump and gaexbox, its just proper confused me, ill try get a pic now.

Could be a crank shaft end seal or summat, spilling out the gearbox housing. Likely to be a fecker of a job so just take it to a garage & pay for it to be fixed.

If you have to ask you probably couldnt carry out the work anyway,.

If you take the gearbox, clutch and flywheel off then you can get to the rear main oil seal to change it.
