what paint can i use. has it got to be heat proof or can i use good old hammerite / metal paint

ive always used hammerite on blocks ect 5 wheer silver spray paint on boxes and normal sparaypaint on rockercovers but wouldent surgest normal paint on metal 8v rockercovers

Ive used normal paint on EVERY exterior surface in the past, always been fine.
Done rockercovers with normal paint too, all good.

I've just done my engine and box (and various suspension components) with brush on Ronseal metal paint
