Broken Nova Steering Column

Hi Folks
I am a Nova Newbie, my Nova was broken into last week and the Steering Column broken, how much should it cost for a new one and fitting at a Vauxhall dealer, and how much should I pay for a secondhand one and fitting from a back street garage, it didnt have an alarm so could anyone recommend a cheap but loud one?

well for a start a colum has some sheer bolts.. when fitting a new one youll have to snap the sheer bolts off

id get one from a scrappy.. and i fitted mine myself.. took about 20 mins tops
