lmao.

It never fails to amaze me how many people take a car for an MOT with blatant things wrong with it.

Especailly when you cant get a cheap retest anymore!

i get a free re-test within 10working days tho, and he only checks the stuff that it failed on

id say that was a belter of a tester.

so your mot tester doesnt check that your brake hose's are leaking?

Id rather it failed on a wiperblade and I got a free retest TBH. Thats quite rare nowadays as retests have to be put through the system as a whole new test, and most MOTers will charge you for a full test again.

An Agreed, if a tester was letting stuff like that go, what else couldn't he be bothered to test?

get free re test at my place too but only if its back in 3 days.

tbh too many people use the mot test as the only sort of car maintenence/check they do all year. that is just plain stupid. if youve been driving around with leaking brake hoses that should surely stand as a wake up call to you to get off your **** and give your car a once over every couple of weeks. that sort of stuff is likely to kill you and whoever else you have in the car (girlfriend, kids?) or anyone unlucky enough to be in your way when things go tits up.

the advisory bit on the bottom of the form, if theres anything written in there, why didnt you notice that yourself?

and if theres anything in the red bit (dangerous faults).. bloody shame on you:eek:

Some advisories are just that, maybe you didn't notice that slight oil leak or that you'll need to look at your rear braking assembly soon. So long as something is done about it then I don't see it as being that major, if it were that major then it would fail.
