rust!!

basically the slam panel is rusted away at the corner on my sr, when i get a new one how do i transfer the vin plate from the old to the new without it looking like its seven different cars glued together? also, is it just the bit you can see or does it go all the way down behind the bumper and wings?oh and one last thing, when i rev above about 4000rpm in first or second theres a rattling/metal to metal grinding noise, this isn't good, i think its the tappets but they only got done 6 months ago, have i fcuked them allready :-/

see pic for front pannel.... get a rivit gun and vaux rivits for the vin plates..... paint the options plate rivits the same colour as the car

how easy is it to replace the whole slam pannel?
