im trying to remove my cam from the cam case, do i need a special tool? PS. lost my haynes:thumb:

you need a special tool or remove the cam houseing which would need to have the head gasket done afterwords.

dont forget to undo the lock plate in the dizzy end

engine is in pieces anyway. looks like i need a 19mm spanner but all of mine are for fat.

then pull the bitch out (aslong as the fuel pump is out too)

Aye, remove the sprocket then tap the mofo out towards the dizzy.

that be where i is going wrong. the sprocket is still attached to the cam and im trying to pull it out the sprocket way. I can't get the sproket undone as all my tool that might do the job are to fat to fit between the lobes.

Lock something through the sprocket holes to stop it turning.

or put a spanner on the hex that most cams have....

yeh that was the problem, all my spanners where to wide to fit on one of the hex' they fouled on a lobe.

lol i need to buy a new tool box first, the one i got don't fit in :(
