Catch tanks

Right, im very limited for space (as you can see) but im comtemplating one of those Bailyer Mirror Image catch tank to match my Bailey header, but ive got an AFM in the way :tard: lol

I may be building a turbo conversion, so id like to run one with a oil cooler setup but anyone got any ideas :confused:

Are you just looking for somewhere to put it in the engine bay? As there looks like a fair amount of room under the bonnet to me....

well if i get a Bailey tank, im going to have problems moving the AFM, as thats where the bailey catch tanks go.

May opt for an eBay special tbh anyway

It doesn't have to sit where the AFM is though? What about putting the catch tank between inlet & MBC, or somewhere on the right hand side of the engine bay? Once the turbo is on boost the catch tank will be under positive pressure and it'll be doing its job.

Understandably you want a short piece of pipe connecting it to the breather on the rocker cover, but I'd imagine a few extra inches wouldn't make the world of difference. IMO that'd be easier than trying to relocate the AFM - that would have a more negative affect if you lengthened the AFM pipework.

EDIT: - Apex supply most of the tuning goodies for the SXOC. If you're not bothered about the Bailey try this:

I got one like the cusco type for about ?30 from some kit car parts supplier that advertises in PPC
