As above, a mate was fartin round with it whilst parked up in a petrol station, needless to say i was a little pi**ed off when i returned. x-(

I jacked the car up after work the next day, knowing im looking for a cable, but it seems theres 2?

How do i tell which ones fcuked as i cant at the moment and how much for a new cable roughly?
Cost not a prob as mate obviously payin!

Cheers

Pull on them both if one comes free then this one has snapped. Look at a haynes manual on how to change it, it is quite easy. There are two pieces one short and one long. Try jacking up the car to see with the wheels off to see if the brakes come on when the handbrake is applied. You could just change the lot as it only cost me about ?20

Its totally useless.
When u pull it up as normal, it goes up much further than it normally would and theres no tension at all.
The handbrake warning light still illuminates.
I presume both have gone.
When it was workin fine it wasnt particularly phenomenal anyway.
