Ticking?

Fitted the 4 branch again today after painting it, and its now reallllllllly ticky. Never had it fitted before with system but it don't sound right at all. Its on a 1.4SR with a sportex mani and magnex system. Checked they are all tight, to a degree as it was foooking hot! Stuck a bit of GunGum round the system joint too;)

Probably the manifold to head gasket blowing.
They usually make a ticking noise.

Thanks Mr Ad, it twas indeed! Its all ok now, just had to wait for it to cooool down before i burnt myself again:D

Tightening a scalding hot manifold's bolts is fun lol

Yeah, espially as the bottom 4 i have to use a spanner on and only just reach, :D

You should use allen cap head bolts on the lower ones and use an allen key to do em up. Didnt I give you some?

For exhaust? i used them on the inlet lol

snapping a rotten stud and not being able to get it out is best!

My four branch makes a slight ticking noise always has but its sportex not the best fitlol
