you do realise you arnt actualy meant to fully weld the seams up? this will take all the stress back, to the next weakest point, instead of the bay having abit of give in it! doh!

if we didnt fully weld ours i think me and craig would be dead mate or i know for a fact i would have lost my legs thats for sure so its down to personal opinion but through exsperiance its one of the best things i could have done

I think Dan means the seams should not be welded with one long weld, but smaller 'stiches' ie 1" weld then 1" gap repeated up the seams...

Then if a weld breaks, there are multiple other welds to take the strain, as apposed to the idea of one long weld breaking, which will break over the whole length of the weld in time...

This is how mine is welded.

i used a mixture of both seam welding and stitch welding on mine. i basically seam welded round the turrets and suspension pick up points but stitch welded the rest of it so i still have a crumple zone

hi again been a while since my last update but i've been busy with work but anyway got my engine back and also had the bay painted so i could fit the engine before the rest ov the car is painted so i don't mark it putting the engine in after it is painted when fitting the engine as it's going for painting on friday so here is a few pics

Bay now looks cool, nice colour.

I'll never understand why people just slap ****e waxoyl all over the bay and make it look messy as hell.
