At the moment i have a 600watt sub (12"). its ok but would like a bigger one. would like to stay with the 12". so what is the biggest watt sub i can get away with safely. and it anyone has a decent one for around about ?40 let me know. if im right the amp is 600watts aswell. was thinking about 1200watts - 1400watts.
but am not very good with ice at the moment.
also is jbl good or is that just rumors?
thanks everyone
Whats the power of your amp - doesn't matter what rating the sub is if the amp hasn't got the juice to keep it moving.
If you want quality, scour ebay for a second hand JL sub.

4/3/2 channel amplifier
4 x 50w RMS (http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/1180.html#) or tri-mode: 2 x 50W RMS (http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/1180.html#) + 150W for sub
4 x 100W max or tri-mode: 2 x 100W + 300W for sub
Variable cross-over. Variable Bass Boost.
Speaker Level Input
Overload protection
these are the specs for the amp. there are some really good subs on ebay. have been looking. are the dual subs and good?
you can pick up a jbl sub. the black one with a square orange claiming 1000w for that price, just switch for that and you probably be a little happier and you wont have to change your amp. try turning the gain up on it too when put in a new sub

would the amp take the next one up from that. the 1200watt or would that be to much?
thanks for the help
