whats the easiest way around the drivers side engine mount. is there not a bracket for it or is just a case of it must be moved and re welded

You can make up a bracket or just buy one. Mine consists of a 5mm(A Guess) thick piece of metal thats about 1" wide and about 3" long with three holes drilled in to it.

This is whats on mine at the mo. Well its been on the car for years now. I have a proper one but the bastid dosen't fit yet.
