2L Driveshafts ???

Just bought a set of 2L driveshafts from novatech (nova outter, astra inner, but was talking to the kid you i bought the engine off and he told me that the engine has a pair of fast road cams and head work done, and is also chipped..

Will these shafts do?? or will i need to return them(as they have not been used) and upgrade to the big lads (astra outter, astra inner)??

If so, am i right in thinking that you need to modify a pair of astra hubs?? ie reduce bearing surface diameter to fit nova wheel bearing?? or is there more to this game..

You won't snap the shafts, maybe the CV joints, but you must have an inexhaustable supply at a local scrappie. You only need to modify the hubs if you use Astra outers. Personally I wouldn't worry.

So, how many people have actually snapped these tapered shafts??

Put it like this, is it worth the extra money and hassel to us both inner and outter astra CV joints??

When the car was just armed with a 1.4 engine i still managed to snap the shafts F$*king around, so with a 2.0 who knows what i can do...
