Just in case your wondering why on the calculator that iainel has used you get different figures for bhp/ton. Its because they use a long ton(1016kg) and my little formula uses a metric ton(1000kg).

Thats quite good and very accurate it was extremely close to calculating my qaurter mile times etc.

long ton depends on your perspective. for the yanks, a short ton is 1000kg lol and our long ton is just their regular measure. Very odd. Typical yank mentalness.
