Back to basics here.
Im lookin to respray my mirrors, handles and possibly a few other bits.
Im looking for 2 answers -

What is the best way to remove the old spray?
Best type of item to physically scrub it off without fcukin the car up?

you don't need to remove the old paint, just ruough the surface up so that the new paint takes to it. some fineish sandpaper should do the trick.

prime, sand with wet and dry, paint, sand paint sand etc.

if the surface you are painting is in good condition all you need is a scotchbrite pad (brillopad). if it could do with smoothing a bit use p600 wet. any marks after that you would have to use 240 wet , but this will need to be primed over then p600 wet otherwise the finish would show 240 scratches
