was really happy wednesday afternoon took it home as it was half 5, so i couldn't tax it:( and had to wait till thursday.
As its my day off i was up n out in the M3 off to the post office there at 9am lol.
got me tax and went to get the nova,at this point i had a big smiles as u do with a new toy......
any way cut a long story short it took me 6hr's to break it.. playing with a scooby at the traffic lights, yep i gave it the biggin, first car i had played with...
What did i do ur thinkin........... yer broke a drive shaft oops. GUTTED..
so now its a hit and miss about it goin to pv.
got another set of shafts and doin the big hub convertion now... just waiting for the bits..
gutted its sitting there and i cant use it...

yer it is took me 10 months to build it. hopefully fingers crossed it will make it to pv.
i had only done 20 miles in it.lol

That's pretty much how I want mine to look, after I sort out the rust and get it sprayed. Slightly lighter colour though. Looks proper tidy mate, shame you broke it, silly scoobys. Good luck with fixin' her up. :thumb:

yer well the bankholidays messed it up i went and got the wheel barings and they gave me the wrong ones so ive got to wait till tuesday.. proper gutted. she's sitting there ready nearly finished.
spouse i can get on with a few more other bits on her...as long as it stops raining lol

wat shafts are you running in it as in wich one did u break?

i was running speacial made jobbies cost ?300 but they were using standed nova hub's. the sharfts are really old about 8yr's i think. came of a friends nova he took it off the road about 6yr's ago and never finished it and then striped it,so they haven't had much use really. it broke the short shaft half inch from the end on the splines that go into the cv joint. never seen one break there..

by the sounds of that i suspect the shafts were cut and welded jobbies and its broke at the welds

no they wernt mate as i said broke on the splines rite where the clip is.it broke in the cv joint.

thanks adam takes alot of time to do it..
started off as a quick thing but ended up wiv everything bein done and a few grand later....this is my toy
