Just wondering if any one out there has changed this pipe before,Think i need to change it as i think the ball in the one way valve is always stuck up meaning its a nightmare to put fuel in, i thinks its because the presure is building up in the tank and causing this, had a look where the pipe goes seems to go into the bodywork somewhere
has any one every changed this before or had any experience with this
many thanks

i had this prob on my sr, when i went to swop it for that gte tank doin a gte conversion i noticed the ball on the main petrol inlet (where u fill it up) wasnt moving about to well, so was blocking the petrol from getting in!

I've just been modding a 1.4 one. It has 2 breather pipes - 1 goes up to near the filler cap and the other smaller one feeds out and round to the other side of the tank (passenger side) where it vents to air. I would say that your ball is stuck m8 as I reckon the vent pipes are very unlikely to block

i also forgort to mention when i did the engine conversion (1.6 16V) i cut the breather pipe and joined it back together so would idealy like to change to the pipe

I'm having probs filling up my GTE....I have to drizzle fuel in at the pump keeps cutting out as if the tank is full.
I know it's not the none-return valve in the filler neck as I fitted a new one recently.
I had this prob. on my old A-reg and it WAS the breather pipe that was causing the problem......the one that runs up into the top of the filler neck.
It was kinked stopping air flow. My Dad did something with it...wiggled it about a bit and it sorted it.
I haven't had time to look at it yet on the GTE....been bloody raining all the time.
