comin home from cinema with the woman last night. it was raining. a bang came from the engine as if something fell off it was the pulley on the crank for the alternator that came off. my lights and wipers stopped, disaster. i got a pulley off a 1.6 i have at the house but it came loose again because the little wedge that holds it in place is sheared of is there any way of fixing this without buying a new pulley for the cambelt. its a 1.2 ohc

got another one on but there is an awful noise still coming from bottom end. it sounds very similar to when my big end bearings were gone in my civic. if the big end bearings were gone would the extra friction on the crank of caused the tooth to shear
