re-fitting bonnet cable help:!

put a new slam panel on. and i can't remember how to put the cable back on to release the bonnet.

the mr haynes manual was no help as always:roll:

what bit is it exactly your struggling with as ill take a pic of mine tomoz for you

mainly fitting the cable back to the underside of the slam panel. cable is still intact in car and through to engine, jus putting it back on the slam panel.

the cable goes through a slot on the back side of the panel, held in place with a small clamp with 1 screw holding it!

piccys a help please. an one of the clamp. got a box of crap an cant seem to find it..

but then where does the edge of the cable go? with the little mushroom cap end

the end of the cable just goes near the catch!

You need to transfer the spring to the new panel aswell, there's a loop in one end that the nipple on the cable sits in.
