aparently its a good idea to have the faces of the manifold skimmed to level them off before fitting as they are usually a bit warped

although from what ive herd the rest of the kit is pretty good for the price

The kit is pretty much the manifold & blower.

Some of them have been reported to not have true faces on them. This has scared some people into bad mouthing MVAUX. If it were me I'd go ahead & use it anyway, obviously skim the faces. You wont get a turbo & manifold from the UK anywhere near that price.

The other bits in the kit are some pipes & fittings to sort the oil feed, a dual rate FPR to bodge the fuelling & thats about it.

Personally I'd have the manifold & turbo, some pistons to drop the CR properly & source an intercooler & management system from the UK.

What are you thinking of putting the kit on?

lol oh dear - i assume it will be either a 1.6 8v / 1.4 16v / 1.6 16v - as this is what the kit is suitable for....

please tell me its not going on a 1.2

They do a kit for literally most GM engines & FORDS & VW flat 4 Beetles.

A 1200 turbo might just out accelerate a std 1600 8v LOL.

get on vauxsport and have a read in the turbo section... tons of info etc there as a 350bhp build is pretty much a "standard rebuild" for them.

i bought 0ne few weeks bk and after about 8 wk it turned up. took it to jamsport who are fitting my engine and they said the manifold and dwn pipe were crap and waste of money. they did look abit tacky. i also got stung an extra 140quid for export charges. i bought the full c20let 350bhp kit for 674 the got stung on import.

that is still damn cheap for a 350bhp "kit" though..... you try buying all the bits in the UK for that..
