i have t40 carbs on my nova and im having bother getting it started its fine once its warmed up though. the guy i bought it off said it need a choke cable fittied. how would i do this?

Get one from a 1.2 carb model at a scrapyard and fit it to your car.

You dont need a choke, they flood the fcuk out your engine.
Just pump the throttle 3times when the engines cold, then turn it over.
If it doesnt start up, pump it another 3times and try it again.
Keep doing that till it runs.

You will have to "hold" the throttle for a minute or two until it'll idle.

yeah but surely it will be impossible to start in the winter without a choke? is it advisable to get air filter instead of the ram pipes? dont really know much about them!
