Prefered it as it was !

to be honest i prefered it single coloured and un-kitted - although i can see a lot of hard work has gone into it and it seems to have been done properly and i respect that :thumb:

love the blue colour :D

What motor you got in her? Must weigh a ton with all that ICE and such like!!

It got worse at it went on! lol

Fair play if you like it though mate, hope you sorted rust out on rear panel too??

what can i say....

1. shocking

2. the type of car that gives nova drivers the bad name.

3. miles better before you got your hands on it

What comprises the install?

I don't know which I like best, the 6X9's or your M3 mirrors lol

dont like the two tone. dont like the idea of turning it into a van. the blue colour is gorgeous though.

ice install is crazy. bit too crazy if its for everyday use.

but its what you like that counts. and the work has been done well

Yeah think I've seen that gold one, it's not a car anymore. lol

It started off well, but you completely ruined it with the bumpers (esp that rear one) IMO. The install looks good, as said before do you have any specs of it?

Thats fooking hidious!

You've taken a really nice nova (bar the ****ty wing mirrors) and ruined it and turned it into a shed!

Heres how this thread should have gone

Here is how my Nova was when I got it,

http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa160/ultimatenova2007/The%20Nova/DSC00083.jpg

http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa160/ultimatenova2007/The%20Nova/DSC00098-1.jpg

Hated that stupid kit so I removed it and got some standard bumpers

http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa160/ultimatenova2007/The%20Nova/DSC00079.jpg

Some one also had painted the rear windows with rattle cans to try to make it like a van so I got some standard glass for it

http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa160/ultimatenova2007/The%20Nova/nova9.jpg

Which left me with some thing like this (slowly getting better)

http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa160/ultimatenova2007/The%20Nova/Nova1.jpg

This is the aforementioned install, full of Halfrauds best

http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa160/ultimatenova2007/The%20Nova/nova6.jpg

To save some weight (as its only a little 1.2 so not the quickest so weight needs to go) I removed it

the task begins

http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa160/ultimatenova2007/The%20Nova/1054721435_l.jpg

Almost out, More MDF than an episode of changing rooms

http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa160/ultimatenova2007/The%20Nova/1054716250_l.jpg

I then came into some money and had that fast and furious 2 tone paint job redone in all one colour, and invested in some nice Vauxhall original alloys which suit the car down to the ground, I think it looks much better now? And I can proudly remove my burburry baseball cap and show my face in public.

Hope you like the finished result, i'm very please, may get rid of the M3 mirrors and get some original ones. Also maybe some speedlines of softstars in future

should have left it, if your into big installs should have put it in then possibly van it but in blue. but still think you have spent loads of money making it worse, well done

draper
25-05-07, 08:57 AM
it looked ok 2tone with standard bumpers i thought, even the front bumpers ok on it now. install looks well done (better than an amp loose on the floor and wires everywhere anyway :p ) the rear windows dont look right sprayed and that rear bumper has never suited novas imo

love the work novacabrio..lol

I thought we'd seen the last of this kind of nova, giving the rest of us a bad name!!

I dont like installs, but if he put the old bumpers and wheels on. It would impress. The install looks well put together, a lot of work has been put into covering the sub inclosures in leather did no one notice the 32" lcd in the back. I think good effort:thumb: not always in the right direction but from a purely SPL car point of view good one.

Now just swap the bumpers back, and get some van rear quarter inserts instead of the painted glass and your onto something.

He just needs a little guidance. Its about being classy. If you look at the pictures you can see the standard bumpers fit better and look better, put them back on and itll be thumbs up all round at PV show.

the car looked better before but if its a van why not show the subs off?

i could see why you wouldent with windows as it would be gone in seconds but no one can see it??
