Can you tell me where to drill the holes please, coz i want to do that too, And for the MOT thing, why not just have a spare Air Box to stick on for the MOT. And how big should i drill the holes too, and where did you get a K&N filter???

I put in five holes, with a diameter of about 1 inch. It sounds much better. Put them in the side of the airbox, near all of the metal clips

Can u do this to a standard air filter?
IE, the black dustbin lid under the bonnet?
Do you drill @ the bottom of it?

lmao??
Obviously i did but i couldnt see anythin.
Too dodgy anyway, air filter also keeps shit out of the engine so if ur gonna put BIG holes in, prepare for grit and all sorts of crap to enter and cause problems.

that link if you scroll down tells you exactly where to drill...

and you dont drill the filter - you drill the airbox around it which means you get more air in, but it is still filtered by the filter.

rant over.

grant how is it not going to be as effective?
just because it is filtering more air?

I hear what your saying but think about it if u got 3 1 inch diameter holes in your airbox, the amount of grit and little bits of crap that r gonna get in is gonna be shi* loads, although it doesnt go into the filter direct, its all still in there.
You'll know when ur fcuked coz u hear grinding where the crap has built up and and up and doin more and more damage to the filter which packs up.

I know coz it happened to a mate of a mate who drove a fiesta.
LIVING PROOF.
