my gearbox is on its way out on my 1.4 SR, what gearbox can i get to replace it that would give me faster aceleration and that fits straight on.

f15cr from a corsa sri

otherwise an f13cr from a nova gsi

would that corsa box fit onto a 1300 engine!

Look for an F13CR box with a 4.18 ratio.. The gearbox code will be something like A20242C4181AB and it will have F13 stamped on the top near the selector housing.

In the code, the C stands for Close Ratio and the 418 directlt after it means a 4.18 final drive. They should have been fitted to some SRis I believe...
